About OnTarget.live

Run your competition live

OnTarget.live scores target rifle competitions as they are shot — straight from the electronic targets or from your scorers’ phones — and puts every shot in front of competitors, coaches and spectators, wherever they are.

Used at Bisley, Camp Perry, Borden and Belmont — from club prize meetings to world championships.

Competitions run on OnTarget.live for

Electronic targets

Connected to the targets you already shoot on

Where a range has electronic targets, OnTarget.live reads the shots from the target system itself. Nobody retypes a card, the results follow the firing line within seconds, and the scores are checked against the system’s own official results.

HEXTA

Live

Shots, sighters and target numbers come straight from HEXTA’s live feed. New competitions are found and mapped, entrant lists and team rosters kept in step, and every card is checked against HEXTA’s own results when the range closes.

Used at: NRAA Championships and ICFRA World Championships, Belmont, Brisbane

Kongsberg

Live

Connected to Kongsberg’s live results, target faces included. Shooters are matched to your teams by name; anyone who can’t be placed is held with their full card until an organiser links them, and nothing is lost.

Used at: International Palma Match at Camp Perry; Canada and Commonwealth Matches at Borden

ShotMarker

In development

ShotMarker’s export format is decoded already. A range-side bridge to bring its shots in live is in development — if your range shoots on ShotMarker, we’d like to hear from you.

Silver Mountain

In development

Silver Mountain’s target faces are already used for OnTarget.live’s plots, and its exports are decoded. Live shots need a bridge on the range, which is in development.

No electronic targets?

Any range

Scorers enter shots on their own phones from a link or QR code — by value on a keypad, or by tapping where the shot struck on the target face. Spectators see exactly the same live results.

Used at: Kolapore and Mackinnon, Imperial Meeting, Bisley

Every shot placed on the right card, totals and standings worked out, checked against the official results.

Everyone watching

Results pages on any device, big screens at the range, overlays on the live stream and your own website.

Live results

Every shot, as it is fired

Team standings and individual leaderboards that move with the firing line, with each firer’s shots plotted on the target face.

  • Teams ranked by points dropped, so the standings are fair mid-range, not just at the end.
  • Shot-by-shot strings, range-by-range scores and maximum possible for every competitor.
  • Plots for the leaders, or any firer you pick — on a phone, tap a score to see where the shots went.
  • Countback worked out for you: by distance, then shot by shot, exactly as the rules say.

In everyone’s pocket

Built for the phone first

Most people follow a competition on a phone — on the range, at home or on the other side of the world. OnTarget.live is designed for that screen first, with nothing to download.

  • Start times shown in the range’s time zone and in the reader’s own, so followers abroad know when to look.
  • Installs like an app, with a notification when a competition goes live.
  • Scorers use the same phones to enter shots, with big buttons made for the firing point.

Big screens and broadcast

Put the competition on the big screen

A screen at the range turns a results board into something to watch. OnTarget.live’s big-screen view runs itself: it moves between the competitions that are live, shows the leaders and their plots, and follows a tie shoot shot by shot.

A tie shoot, shot by shot, on the same screen

Any screen on the range

A high-resolution view for TVs and projectors, and a bold, low-resolution board for LED walls. Open it once and leave it running.

Overlays for the stream

Leaderboards, a scrolling ticker and live plots ready to drop into OBS over your camera feed, plus a presenter view for the commentator.

On your own website

Results and a drafted match report, checked and approved by you, can be published to a team’s own website — the GB Rifle Team’s already works this way.

For organisers

Everything a competition needs

From a club prize meeting to an international championship — the rules of target rifle shooting are built in, not bolted on.

Every format

Team matches with coaches and target groups, individual competitions, finals with qualifiers, aggregates such as a Grand Aggregate, and tie shoots decided by countback.

Classes side by side

Target Rifle, F Open and F-TR shot in one competition, each with its own entrants, scoring and results — V-bull, metric and F-Class scoring all built in.

Scoring on any phone

Scorer links for each team or target, no app to install. Several scorers can work at once, sighters convert with one tap, and a mistyped shot is easy to put right.

Checked while it runs

OnTarget.live compares what it holds with the target system and its own rules all through the day, and tells the organiser — with a one-tap fix — when something needs a look.

Followers kept informed

Install OnTarget.live on a phone like an app and get a notification when a competition goes live. Organisers can post updates that run across every results page.

Private when you need it

Squad training and trials can sit behind a password, with exactly the same live scoring as a public championship.

Getting started

How it works

1

Tell us about it

Your competition, its dates and format, and whether the range has electronic targets. The form below is all it takes.

2

We set it up with you

Competitions, ranges and entrants put in; the targets linked, or scorer links and QR codes made for each team or target.

3

Go live

OnTarget.live takes the competition live as shooting starts. Share the link, put it on a screen at the range, and watch the shots come in.

Coming soon: set it up yourself

Organiser accounts are on the way, so you can create and run competitions on your own. Tick the box in the form to be among the first.

Bring your competition to OnTarget.live

Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll come back to you about getting it set up. A rough idea is plenty — dates and numbers can change.

  • Team matches, individuals, or a whole meeting.

  • Public for everyone to follow, or private for a squad.

We only use your details to reply to you.
